I am writing to apply for an
engineering work placement.


I am a second year student attending
a French engineering course in Electrical and Thermal Engineering by
apprenticeship at the « ITII Pays de la Loire » Industrial
Engineering Institute (44, France) in collaboration with the Engineering School
« Polytech’Nantes » of the University of Nantes (44, France). During
the second of my three years as a junior engineer, I would like to do my
international work placement in a company like yours. The internship will have
to take place from June to the beginning of September 2011.


I am currently working for PORALU
MENUISERIES (01, France), a windows and shutters manufacturer, in the Research
and Development service. I am associated to the R&D Director to work on the
definition of new products and on the evolution of our current offer. I am in
charge of the energetic properties of our solutions, thermal and phonic
insulation into the final building. I am also working on new projects for the
company like the development of a new activity such as photovoltaic solar
panels, or the study of the South African and Australian market to define a
technical solution and make an offer considering the local requirements.


I am very interested in the renewable energy production activity and I think that
working for your company could be a really attractive experience for me. Indeed,
I have developed during the past few years a great interest in the sustainable development. I am particularly eager to learn more precisely about
photovoltaic solar panels or another kind of renewable energy production.
